Founded by a group of friends with a shared vision of creating a welcoming space centered on joy, peace, and friendship, the resort was born from the revival of the once-beloved Peaceful Valley Resort into the vibrant destination it is today. Originally established as a lakeside restaurant in 2013, Papa Chubby’s expanded in 2023 to include RV sites, cabins, and tent camping, offering guests a relaxed, community-driven atmosphere with lakeside dining, live music, ongoing improvements, and year-round access. Rooted in Midwest hospitality, Papa Chubby’s is designed for travelers who value nature, fun, and genuine connection—creating memories to be cherished for generations.
